The tournament will be a great opportunity for the hosts to prove recent progress of the ambitious Japanese rugby development. They will face South Africa, Argentina and Kenya in a tough Pool B. The favourites of this pool, South Africa, are just two points behind series leaders New Zealand. The BlitzBokke are defending the title in Tokyo this weekend and a successful trophy re-claim would guarantee the lead in the series over rivals New Zealand.

Pool A: New Zealand, Canada, Wales, Portugal

Pool B: South Africa, Argentina, Kenya, Japan

Pool C: Fiji, Samoa, France, USA

Pool D: England, Australia, Scotland, Spain

Even though it looks at the moment like a two team title competition between New Zealand and South Africa, Boks coach Neil Powell admits Fiji and England could still cause some upset with big performances in the last four rounds.

The All Blacks Sevens team arrive as the current in-form team, having conceded no points in their last five matches in Wellington. It will certainly be another exciting weekend full of 7s action.
